ABOUT THE COURSE / COURSE OVERVIEW
The course is expected to contain approximately 12 lessons, each lesson taking 2 weeks. The course comprises of 2 parts based on two introductory Vedantic texts – Tattva Bodha and Ātma Bodha. The first part (Tattva Bodha) containing 6 lessons has formative assessments at the end of each lesson.
The two course texts (Tattva Bodha and Ātma Bodha) will form core readings for the lessons and students will be expected to purchase them. Additional course notes will be provided to help support their learning.
We will have plenary Q&A sessions once a month (after two lessons) to cover doubts and also summarise material. Material for this part of the course has already been uploaded. The second part is currently expected to cover a further 6 lessons but the material is currently being prepared.
There will be an assessment at the end of each part of the course. Each assessment will take the form of an assignment on the concepts covered. Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded a certificate.

COURSE OBJECTIVES / REWARDS
The objective of the course is to understand the essence of Truth as it is discussed in Vedanta. The two parts of the course are based on two introductory Vedantic texts – Tattva Bodha and Ātma Bodha. In addition, course notes have been provided and there are questions to help with understanding at the end of each lesson. At the end of the course, you will achieve a basic understanding of the concept of the relationship between the individual and God (either as Brahman or as Iswara).
COURSE ELIGIBILITY
All students interested in these topics are eligible. The course is an introductory level course and there are no pre-requisites. Students are not expected to have any prior knowledge of Sanskrit. Students require a good knowledge of English and should be self-motivated and keen to learn Vedanta.

CONTACT SESSIONS WITH TUTOR
We will be holding plenary sessions with all the attendees at regular intervals to help enhance student learning through discussion with the course tutor. We expect these to take place once a month and to cover material from the last two lessons covered by the students in self study.
